for the Preservation
of Indigenous Culture
Indigen (IDG) is the very first cryptocurrency and blockchain project designed specifically for the indigenous people.
IDG is based on masternode blockchain which is very sustainable and does not rely on specialized miners, therefore helps save energy. IDG is a utility coin which fuels our blockchain projects as reward or incentives for users who contribute to our projects. Likewise, IDG acts as a payment and donation currency wherein portion of the sales are used in our various outreach programs.
Indigen Core was modeled after PIVX SwiftX technology, Zerocoin and Bitcoin Green protocols.
In order to infuse additional funding for our blockchain projects and outreach programs towards the poor indigenous children, we created Indigen XT (IDGX), an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum platform and launched an ICO on the Kickico platform starting March 2019.
All funds that will be raised during the token sale will be used completely in our blockchain projects, outreach programs and a big portion will be reinvested in revenue generating activities to ensure sustainability of our current and future projects. The management team does not hold or has reserved tokens for personal use since our main priority is the pursuit and successful implementation of our mission and vision, business objectives and charity projects and not for the management to take advantage of the funds generated for personal gains.
The Indigen ecosystem is a series of blockchain use cases, and everything starts with an identity system to properly identify individuals securely and privately in order to protect their information from identity theft. Presenting the Indigen Blockchain Identity System or i.BID, which rewards users with IDG coin whenever they sign up using our platform on our partner merchant web sites. The rest of our blockchain projects will evolve from this alone.
For example, if you need to book an airline ticket but you forgot to bring your passport, if the ticketing outlet is partnered with Indigen, you can simply use i.BID to submit your passport information to our partner ticketing outlet and you get IDG as rewards.
i.BID was designed with the indigenous people in mind, in order to properly track the individual's native origin. This can be also implemented as national identity system far more secured and private than the current system we have now.
This project is ongoing as this is the primary requisite of all our other blockchain projects.
The United Nations (UN) declared 2019 the International Year of Indigenous Languages (IYIL2019) to raise awareness and "appreciate the important contribution they make to our world's rich cultural diversity."
We at Indigen believe that in order to preserve native cultures and traditions, we must first preserve their languages. That is why this 2019, to coincide with the declaration by the UN as International Year of Indigenous Languages, we have started working on a project, commencing in the Philippines, which involves research and collection of indigenous languages to help revive and preserve various native dialects.
The project is called B.U.I.L.D. which is an acronym for Blockchain Unabridged Indigenous Language Database since we are using distributed ledger technology (DLT) as the repository of data due to the decentralized and immutable nature of blockchain and the ability to time stamp information and to keep track of historical records. Once the data have been recorded on the blockchain, we will apply A.I. or machine learning technologies to allow real time translations between native languages or tribal dialects in order to eliminate language barriers.
One of the key features of BUILD is the ability to reward users with IDG who contribute to our project such as adding entries into the database, upvoting entries, and so on.
